There are many operating systems but very few got popular, this is because of their performance, user-friendliness, & other extra features provided. Many users prefer OS which is mostly in use but there are other operating systems which are tough compaction to them in few aspects. few interesting facts on OS are given below, I have gone through many facts, but I think this is best one.

This multiuser computer operating system is widely used for Internet servers, workstations, and mainframe computers. UNIX was developed by AT&T Corporation's Bell Laboratories in the late 1960s because of efforts to create a time-sharing computer system.

2. Unix is not considered as the user-friendly operating system compared to other.

iOS (formerly iPhone OS) is a mobile operating system created and developed by Apple Inc. exclusively for its hardware. It is the operating system that presently powers many of the company's mobile devices, including the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. It is the second most popular mobile operating system globally after Android.

1. Samsung makes iPhone’s processors. Samsung and Apple may be arch-rivals in the smartphone arena, but that’s not stopping Apple from contracting Samsung to make its computer chips. They still trash each other’s phones, though.

2. iPhone was Invention of the Year. The Apple iPhone was considered so revolutionary this was the reason Time Magazine named it Invention of the Year in 2007.

3. iOS is considered as one of the safest & secure platforms, this is the reason we cannot connect iPhone directly to any other OS devices.

4. If you are buying iPhone in Apple stores, you will be given demo class on iPhone operating system, this makes new users use OS effectively.

#4. Android:

Android is a mobile operating system developed by Google, based on the Linux kernel and designed primarily for touchscreen mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. Android's user interface is mainly based on direct manipulation, using touch gestures that loosely correspond to real-world actions, such as swiping, tapping and pinching, to manipulate on-screen objects, along with a virtual keyboard for text input.

1 Android OS has inbuilt anti-virus, this is the reason you will not have any official antivirus for android.

2. Unlike many other mobile operating systems, Android allows device makers to modify the operating system code and doesn’t charge any licensing fees.

3. Each new update to the Android operating system is a free, fully-functional, open-source mobile operating system that manufacturers can use to build devices.
